  Week 12: November 21 and 22 Reminders:  There is no school this Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday in celebration of Thanksgiving   Academic Updates: Following a week of assessments and since it’s just a two day school week, we will not be introducing any new content this week but instead focusing on areas that need to be reviewed. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  Week 10: November 7-11 Academic Updates We are learning about: S blends  Sequence of events in fiction and nonfiction text Nouns, verbs, and adjectives Phases of the moon and the night sky Various word problems and strategies for solving The language, “find the difference” Gratitude Veterans Report cards   will be available later this month.  In order to prepare, teachers will be conducting a variety of assessments in the next two weeks.   Scheduling   We are experimenting with our daily schedule by flip flopping math and reading times.  We are always looking for the best ways to maximize student interest and engagement, and to create the best environment for student success.  The “test drive” this week and potential permanent change if it goes well may be uncomfortable for some students.  Ask Your Firstie… What books are you reading in class?
