Academic Updates:

We are learning about….

  • 3 addend addition including story problems 

  • Using doubles and complements of 10 to solve 3 addend addition problems

  • Sneaky E! (tape, snake, plate, rake, etc.)

  • Retelling fiction and nonfiction 

  • Comparing and contrasting different versions of the Gingerbread Man

  • How to make a plan and alter it as needed 

  • Coding (Check it out!) 


National Cupcake Day

Thursday is National Cupcake Day!  If you’d like to donate cupcakes for the class we’d be grateful! 25 per class. Sign up here:)


Ice Skating

Ice skating day is a wonderful Lincoln School tradition.  Each class walks over to the Howard Ice Arena.  Skate rentals are provided.


Mrs. Confer’s class will take the ice on Thursday, December 15 from 9:55-10:35.


Ms. Gould’s Class will skate on Thursday, December 15 from 1:45-2:30.


Mrs. Fiesbeck’s class will take their turn on December 16 from 9:00-9:40.


Winter Parties

Our classroom parties will be on Thursday, December 22 from 1:00-2:00pm. Please see volunteer needs here.

Welcome!

  September 6–9 Welcome! We had so much fun at the Ice Cream Social connecting names and faces! We can’t wait to get to know our students better in the coming days and weeks. At Back to School Night, on September 19, we will have a chance to talk with parents and share all the exciting things about 1st grade.  For questions or concerns, we are available via email (see below).
