Academic Updates:

We are learning about….

  • Integrity

  • 3 addend addition including story problems

  • Three letter blends (splat, split, scrap, sprint, etc.) 

  • Elements of fiction (plot, setting, character, problem, solution)


Ask your Firstie…

  • What is the plot of whatever book you're reading?

  • What is the problem in this story? What is the solution?

  • How can knowing that 3 + 4 = 7 help you to find the sum of 13 + 4?


Ice Skating

Ice skating day is a wonderful Lincoln School tradition.  Each class walks over to the Howard Ice Arena.  Thanks to our amazing PTO for making this possible.


Mrs. Confer’s class will take the ice on Thursday, December 15 from 9:55-10:35.


Ms. Gould’s Class will skate on Thursday, December 15 from 1:45-2:30.


Mrs. Fiesbeck’s class will take their turn on Friday, December 16 from 9:00-9:40.


Winter Parties

Our classroom parties will be on Thursday, December 22 from 1:00-2:00pm. Please see volunteer needs here.

Welcome!

  September 6–9 Welcome! We had so much fun at the Ice Cream Social connecting names and faces! We can’t wait to get to know our students better in the coming days and weeks. At Back to School Night, on September 19, we will have a chance to talk with parents and share all the exciting things about 1st grade.  For questions or concerns, we are available via email (see below).
