 Week 29: April 10-14

Field Trip

Thank you for the quick response regarding lunches for our field trip! 

On May 3rd we will leave Lincoln School shortly after 10:00AM, arriving at Sarett around 10:30AM. Parents are welcome to meet us at the nature center. The fee for parents to attend is $5 which you can pay upon arrival.  Please click here to let us know if you’re able to make it.  


Family project

This week we will begin our big animal project in class.  Your firstie will be assigned an animal to research.  We will study habitats, predators, physical characteristics, geographic locations, special talents, and food needs.  In class, students will work on writing all about their animals as well as creating a class book. To further demonstrate understanding, we ask that each child create one of the following at home: a diorama, a poster, or a model of their animal.  More information will be coming home this week, but we wanted to give you a heads up that this is coming.

  Week 2: September 12-16 Wow!  What an amazing first week of 1st Grade! Getting to Know You Last week we shared this digital survey.  Thank you to everybody who completed it.  If you haven’t yet, please find a few minutes to answer the questions and submit it.  You have also received paper “get to know you” forms. We apologize for all the questions, especially those that seem redundant. We really appreciate all the information we can gather to help us meet the needs of all our Firsties.
